Spanning the last six years of Dumbass' fourteen year career, this collection presents the listener with Dumbass at their strange and beautiful best. From live performances, experiments with space and time, computer programming to pounding on rocks, and sitting at a piano, The History of Idiocy runs the gamut of recording techniques and musical styles.

This collection brings together some of the best songs from the years 2002-2008, easily the band's most fertile and boundary pushing period.
